The Carillon Service Project will be held at the Carillon at Byrd Park in Richmond on December 22nd (6:00 - 8:30 PM) and December 23rd (6:30 - 8:30 PM). This is the main lodge service project, so your help is needed. Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring a small flashlight. The annual pass includes payment for one year of dues as well as member registration for the three 2015 service weekends and the 2015 Fall Fellowship weekend. Separate, on-time registration is required for the four event weekends (Brotherhood program fees and Friday dinner fees are extra). This annual pass is only valid for the single individual listed on the purchase…no transfers, no substitutions, and no refunds for unattended or partially-attended events. Conclave 2015 will be hosted by Wahunsenakah Lodge #333 at Bayport Scout Reservation in Jamaica, Virginia. The dates are April 24-26, 2015. The lodge registration fee is $50.00. Transportation will be coordinated by chapters. A conclave is where the lodges of the section (Section SR-7A consists of 6 Virginia lodges) get together for training, competition, and fellowship. Of course, the Saturday night block party is a feast that shouldn’t be missed. Conclave also gives OA members the opportunity to visit the different camps across the state.

Finley Albright Trail Crew SPECIAL EVENT

On this Saturday-only event, Nawakwa Lodge will continue building a 5-mile hiking trail along with an ADA-compliant activity shelter. The lodge was awarded a National OA Service Project matching grant to facilitate the project. This is a great opportunity to participate in a service project that will literally leave a legacy to those youth of tomorrow. Lunch will be provided. Please submit this form and reserve your legacy.

Due to the physical demands of this service project we will need to limit participation in this event to Arrowmen who are at least 14 years old, and all participants must complete and submit Parts A and B of the standard BSA medical form. A list of supplies/gear needed for the event will be sent with travel instructions prior to the event. Participants should wear long pants/jeans, ankle-covered work boots, and leather work gloves.  We will also limit participation to only 100 Arrowmen, so register as soon as possible to ensure you are a part of this unique opportunity. Check-in will be from 7:00 – 8:00 AM Saturday, and pick-up will be at 5:00 PM Saturday.

All current and recently inducted members (prior to 2015) must pay their dues for the 2015 year in order to continue to receive The Tom-Tom and in order to be eligible to attend lodge functions. The National Order of the Arrow Conference, more commonly known as NOAC, excites Arrowmen across the country. Why you ask? Just ask anyone in our lodge who has been to one, and they will probably say it is among the greatest scouting experiences they have ever had.  The 2015 NOAC will be extra special since it wil be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Order of the Arrow.

Imagine for a moment, you and eight thousand of your closest friends, descending on a major college campus (Michigan State University) for six days of brotherhood and fellowship, training and recreation, competition and friendship making. That is what a NOAC is all about!
