The National Order of the Arrow Conference, more commonly known as NOAC, excites Arrowmen across the country. Why you ask? Just ask anyone in our lodge who has been to one, and they will probably say it is among the greatest scouting experiences they have ever had.  The 2015 NOAC will be extra special since it wil be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Order of the Arrow.

Imagine for a moment, you and eight thousand of your closest friends, descending on a major college campus (Michigan State University) for six days of brotherhood and fellowship, training and recreation, competition and friendship making. That is what a NOAC is all about!

Your 2015 membership dues ($15) are now DUE. All current and recently inducted members (prior to 2015) must pay their dues for the 2015 year in order to continue to receive The Tom-Tom and in order to be eligible to attend lodge functions. You may pay your dues with the Dues Form available here or online here ($1 convenience fee charged for online transactions). If you have not yet paid your 2015 lodge dues, please do so right now.

Each summer, the Order of the Arrow offers a myriad of different High Adventure opportunities to meet your summer needs whether its wetting your appetite by going for a plunge in the Atlantic Ocean with the Ocean Adventure at the Florida Sea Base; maybe hiking is your passion, what better place to go than the Philmont Scout Ranch where you can hike the same trails as your Scoutmaster or Scouting ancestors as a part of your Trail Crew experience. OA service goes international in the Ontario wilds, and you can embark on the odyssey of a lifetime, transcending borders and the spirit of the Order. Have you ever given thought about what the Native Americans and early explorers did to be avid traders, maybe the OA Wilderness Voyage at the Charles L. Sommers Canoe Base is calling. Perhaps you want to explore the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve and provide service while enjoying time on and around the New River Gorge National River. Experience rafting and kayaking while building bonds of brotherhood. Whatever your summer aspirations may be, these National High Adventure bases have put together a multitude of options for you.

OA Adviser Conference at Philmont

The Order of the Arrow Adviser Conference is being held at the Philmont Training Center in 2014.  This course is open to all OA adults who advise youth in either their lodge or chapter and the conference will be held from Sunday, June 22 to Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the beautiful Philmont Scout Ranch near Cimarron, New Mexico.  Please consider attending and also share this information with any adults in your lodge who might be interested and would benefit from the experience.

Philmont Scout Ranch is also a great place to bring the entire family as the ranch offers a full, organized, week-long program for every member of the family – from infants to spouses.

Name badges have a white background with red beveled edges, red arrow emblem, red lettering, and clutch back fasteners. Return a completed Order Form including a check or money order in the amount of $10.00 for each name badge you want. Price is for complete badge including engraving of up to three lines (your name, "Nawakwa Lodge #3", your chapter name). Your badge will be mailed to you within about four weeks.

We're currently working to digitize our current Where to Go Camping Guide, and hope to soon have a vast index of places to go camping.
